My Memory Story
This is a recording that I did in my Online Communication Class, about my foolish memory story. I hope you enjoy!
And here is the transcript:
Hi, this is Shogo Shibuya and today I am going to tell you a foolish story that happened to me in the past. This is a part of an assignment of my English class, Online Communication. I hope you enjoy it.
So here is the story. This foolish accident happened when I was 6years old, in Japan. It was one Saturday morning and I was very excited, because my family, my grandparents, cousins and I were going to a strawberry field to pick strawberries, and after that to a beach in Inubo-saki, which is a part of Chiba. I was so excited that I could not eat, and I was too excited.
It was about an hour drive to the strawberry fields. We arrived and the next thing I did was to throw up. I did not eat as I mentioned and even worse, I was jumping around in the car, which made me sick. I could not enjoy it at all, but I felt better after a while, and looked forward to going to the beach. My family cheered me up also. This is not the end of the story and the worst thing happened after picking strawberries.
The worst accident happened when I got to the beach. It was my first time visiting the sea that I remember, and I got excited again. I ran out to the beach and started jumping on the rocks. I left my dad and cousins behind and started going far. Even though my dad told me to be careful, I kept jumping from rock to rock. When I noticed that I went too far, it was too late. My dad shouted to me to watch out and I looked back. And what I saw was a big wave coming, a massive one. It was even bigger than my height. It came closer and closer to me. I got eaten by the wave, and hit my head hard on a rock.
And the next thing I knew was that I was lying on the beach. Fortunately, I did not get injured and I was alright, but it was the scariest thing ever happened to me. What my parents told me was that after I got eaten by the wave, my dad came rushing up to me, picked me up, and carried me to the beach. Only my dad was worried, and all of the other members of my families were all cracking up!!
It was very scary then, but now I find it foolish and my family and I all laugh about it. I will upload the picture on my Blog, so if you are interested, please have a look!
This is the end of my story. Thanks for listening.

Busking
I was sick on Friday and the Internet was not working. I hate it when the Internet has some kind of problems. It is one of my biggest pet peeves.
Anyway on Saturday, I felt much better and I decided to call my band mate and do some street performances. So we went to Matsudo Station, which is in Chiba. When we arrived, there was a band already busking, and we decided to watch them first. After three songs, police officers came and made them stop. According to the singer of the band it is always the same person who reports them to the police.
That is a foolish thing to do! Music and art should not be regulated…but I do understand that for some people, it is annoying.
So I decided to just go home and have a rest. That was pretty much all that happened on Saturday.

I am a Fool
This is the fifth post on this Blog. Until last week, I did not know that I have to write at least 6 posts in this Blog assignment by 19th of June. I thought I had until the end of this semester. This means that I have to write 2 posts by tomorrow, and to make things worse, I feel very sick… I am not sure what is my teacher going to say about this post…but I am going to end it here and write 6 post now.
I’m sorry.
I’m sorry.
My dog - Koro
Today, I am going to write about my dog, Koro. Koro is a 7 year old male dog, which my family bought in Thailand. He is a brown toy poodle.

Isn’t he adorable??
There are some funny (or foolish) things about him too.
The first thing that I am going to write about is the way he eats dog food. Koro, for some reason, can only eat dog food one piece at a time.

He eats those kind of dog food, but he only puts one piece in his mouth and swallows it, then eats another piece and so on…It takes a LONG time to finish his meal.
The second funny thing is his appearance after washing him. Look at the picture below.

This is how he looks after washing him. Isn’t it funny? He isn’t fluffy any more, and so skinny. He almost looks like an another dog!
There are so many funny stories and adorable stories about him. I hope to upload some videos in the future.

Maldives
Today I am going to write about my holiday in the Maldives. (And a foolish thing I did in the Maldives)
I went to the Maldives with my family when I was 12 and stayed there for three days. It was my first trip abroad which I can recall perfectly. (I had been to over 10 countries, when I was 0 to 4. But since I was young, I don’t remember most of them) There were so many experiences that I had not experienced before then, and that is why I can recall it perfectly.
The first thing that amazed me the most was the airplane. Maldives consist of heaps of small islands. There is one airport in the capital, but the other islands don’t have enough land to make airports. For that reason, airplanes take off and land using the sea. (See the picture below)

I thought it was very strange, but at the same time I felt very excited.
Another thing that was unforgettable was the beauty of the beach. The sea was the most clear I had ever seen and the sand was so soft and white. When I took a walk on the beach in the morning, I saw many creatures such as fish, rays and baby sharks at the shore.

Here is the foolish part. I went fishing with my dad on the third day in Maldives. I thought it would be a normal fishing, but it wasn’t. I had to use a piece of wood and a wire to fish. As the time past, I got more and more bored, because I could not fish at all and finally I gave up and left the “fishing rod” in the sea. After a while, my dad told me to pull it up, and so I did. It was very heavy and I thought the needle was stuck in a soil or a rock. Although I needed to pull hard, I kept pulling. I was very surprised when I finished pulling it up and finally the fish came into my sight. It was an eel!! (See the picture below)

How foolish of me to fish a moray. The worst thing was that I ate the moray that I fished…but surprisingly, it tasted alright.
Here is the end of my Maldives story, and I’ll end it with a nice beautiful sunset of Maldives that I took.

Second Post
I could not sleep well last night or I should say I could not sleep at all!! I have no idea why I can't, but I am not getting enough sleep these days. (If you happen to know, please give me some useful tips to fall asleep easily, except for taking sleeping pills.) The chances of seeing or doing some foolish things go up on the next day of not having enough sleep...and so I did.
So here is the story. I was on my way to a station called "Futawa-mukoudai", which is the nearest station to my house. It was 6 in the morning and sunshine was beginning to lighten up my way. On the way to the station, I was listening to The Beatles' songs as usual. I clicked on the "Shuffle songs" icon on my iPod, and it chose me "Strawberry Fields Forever". It is a nice and slow song, and there is one line in the lyrics that says "living is easy with eyes closed". Since I didn't get enough sleep, "I was so tired" (there is a song called "I'm So Tired" by the Beatles), I followed the lyrics and closed my eyes, and hoping life would be easier, as John Lennon sings in this song. Closing your eys on the streets, when walking is such a foolish thing to do. I realised so, and opened my eyes, but it was too late. I banged into a telegraph pole, hit my head so hard that I almost fainted. There was a lady passing by and she laughed at me, which made me felt so embarassed.
Anyway...Here is a map of the station I was walking to.

...and here is the song I was listening to when I banged my head.
Hope you enjoyed it, and imagined me hitting my head on to a telegraph pole. Here is a tip for you, which I guess everyone knows. "Do not close your eyes when waliking".
